AI Beard Style & Color Try On

This Privacy Policy explains how Nep Tech Pal Pvt. Ltd. ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the AI Beard Style & Color Try On mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy, especially regarding sensitive face and photo data.
By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
Face Data We Collect
When you use the App's beard style and color try-on feature, you voluntarily upload or capture a photograph using your device camera. The App collects:
- Raw photograph — the photo you provide, which includes your face and facial/beard area.
- No biometric templates — we do not extract, store, or create facial recognition templates, biometric fingerprints, facial geometry maps, or faceprints. Your face is not identified, matched, or compared against any database.
- No persistent face data — the raw photograph is used only for the single beard style generation session and is not retained by our servers after the result is returned to you.
In plain terms: We only collect the photo you choose to upload. We do not create or store any biometric identifier from your face.
How We Use Your Face Data
Your uploaded photograph is used solely and exclusively for the following purpose:
- AI beard style and color generation — Your photo is transmitted to Google Gemini API (see Section 3) to generate virtual beard style and color previews on your likeness.
Your face data is never used for:
- Advertising, profiling, or targeted marketing
- Identity verification or facial recognition
- Training our own AI or machine learning models
- Sale, rental, or trade to any third party
- Any purpose beyond generating your requested beard style result
Third-Party AI Service: Google Gemini

Who receives your data
Your photograph is transmitted to Google LLC via the Google Gemini API — a generative AI service operated by Google. Google is the sole third party that receives your photo.
What data is sent
Only the raw photograph you upload or capture in the App is sent to Google Gemini. No additional personal information (name, email, account data, location, device identifiers) is included in the image request sent to Google.
Why it is sent
Google Gemini processes the image to generate a beard style and color overlay preview and returns the generated result to our server, which then delivers it to your device. The image is used only to fulfill your style generation request.
How Google handles your data
Google may retain API request data (including your image) for up to 48 hours for safety, abuse prevention, and quality monitoring purposes, per Google's Gemini API usage policies. Google does not use API input data to train its models by default under its paid API tier.

Google's privacy standard
Google LLC provides privacy and data protection standards that are equivalent to or greater than those described in this policy, as governed by their published privacy policies, GDPR compliance frameworks, and Google Cloud data processing agreements.
No other third parties receive your photo. We do not share your face data with analytics services, advertising networks, social media platforms, or any entity other than Google Gemini API for the sole purpose of generating your beard style preview.
Data Retention & Deletion
Our Servers
Deleted immediately
Your uploaded photo is transmitted to Google Gemini for processing and is not stored on our servers. The generated result image is temporarily cached to deliver it to your device and is purged upon delivery.
Google Gemini API
Up to 48 hours
Per Google's Gemini API Terms, Google may retain API request data including your image for up to 48 hours for abuse monitoring and safety purposes, after which it is deleted.
Requesting deletion of your data
Since we do not retain your photo on our servers, there is no stored image to delete on our end. If you have concerns about data Google may hold during the 48-hour monitoring window, you may contact Google through their data deletion support page. User Consent & Permission
Before the App accesses your camera or allows you to upload a photo for AI processing, we obtain your explicit consent as follows:
- Camera permission prompt — Your device's operating system displays a permission dialog before the App can access your camera. The prompt explains the purpose (beard style generation). You may deny camera access without losing access to other App features.
- In-app disclosure — Before you upload or capture a photo, the App displays a clear notice explaining that your photo will be sent to Google Gemini AI to generate your beard style preview.
- Voluntary action — Photo upload or capture is always initiated by you. We never access your camera or photo library without your direct action.
- Withdrawal of consent — You may revoke camera permission at any time via your device Settings. You may stop using the beard feature at any time. To request any data-related action, contact us at contact@neptechpal.com.np.
Other Data We Collect
In addition to photo data used for the beard feature, the App may collect:
- Account data (if you create an account): name, email address, password (stored as a secure hash).
- Usage analytics: anonymous usage statistics such as features used and session duration, used to improve the App. This data does not include your face or photo.
- Device information: device type, OS version, and App version, used for crash reporting and compatibility.
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:
- All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security).
- All data transmitted from our servers to Google Gemini API is encrypted in transit.
- Access to our backend systems is restricted and monitored.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information, including face data, from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided face data through the App, please contact us at contact@neptechpal.com.np and we will delete it promptly.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Deletion — Request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
- Withdrawal of consent — Revoke your consent for data processing at any time by discontinuing use and contacting us.

Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes — especially those affecting how face data is handled — we will notify you via an in-app notification and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
